| | Live GAA games 2010![]() Straight from the Ladies at the Consulate! The Paddington Bar in Parnell has arranged to show the GAA this year. We are told it has direct coverage so the reception is crystal clear (not like the jumpy internet coverage). The Paddington also has a 24 hour licence and sells Guinness & Kilkenny so that works out pretty well !! To start off they will be showing the Tipperary v Wexford Hurling LIVE on this coming Saturday night/Sunday morning (coverage starts at 2.15am) – it’s at the same time as the Argentina – Germany game in the world cup. If there is enough interest they will open for all the main GAA games and show repeats the next day etc. Email address (gaa@thepaddington.co.nz) if anyone wants to email to find out details of games being shown etc. The Paddington www.thepaddington.co.nz 117 St. Georges Bay Road Parnell Auckland Ph: 09 3093586 admin on Tuesday 29 June 2010 - 22:45:49 | ![]() ![]() Trad Band Beoga visiting NZ![]() Here's a touch of Trad visiting Godzone....Beoga (Irish word for ‘lively’) are a five-piece band based in County Antrim in the North of Ireland. However, they are not afraid to incorporate other genres’ nuances into their music. From bluesy riffs to Astor Piazzola-style jazz, to a raunchy New Orleans jamboree vibe, their music always returns to a wonderfully bouncy traditional sound. The result is traditional, with a huge sense of fun and adventure and it all works - wonderfully well. Irish Music Magazine writes “Madcap genius, master craftsmen”.
